Things to Do in and Around Eugene

Eugene is distributed along the banks of the Willamette River just a few steps North of the Riverpath Inn. There are more than 16 miles of paved bike trails and dozens of jogging trails and hiking paths that lead to places of interest. You can start by exploring Sladden Park, The Owen Rose Gardens, Maurie Jacobs Park, Skinner Butte Park, and RiverPlay Playground while on foot! Check out the Valley River Center, the Delta Ponds, and the always fun and eclectic Whiteaker neighborhood where restaurants, breweries, and other unique activities can be found. The University of Oregon, Autzen Stadium, and Elevation Bouldering Gym are also worth a visit and are located within a 2-mile radius. If you want to venture further, we definitely recommend exploring the Ruth Bascom trail system from Owosso Bridge all the way south past Knickerbocker Bridge to South D Street in Springfield. You can find some great hiking and exploration at Mount Pisgah and there are spectacular views available for those who make it to the top of Spencer’s Butte. Fox Hollow Trail, Fern Ridge Trail, and Amazon Trail are also all great for walking, jogging and biking.
